As we draw closer to November, we have to keep the energy up that Democrats across the state have been building over the last few months. I’m excited about the last few strides into Election Day and I’ve seen the energy that has been growing inside of Cabarrus County to flip it blue. However, I’m not the only one who's noticed, people outside of our county have had eyes on the progress we’re making here and want to do all they can to help.
On October 24th at 7PM EST, we will be holding a Red, White & Blue Affair via Zoom. Hosted by Rep. Diamond Staton-Williams, Hon. Angela Williams, Keshia Sandidge, Patricke Ward, and Justin Lewter. To get everyone pumped up about flipping Cabarrus County and getting me to Raleigh, we will be joined by guest speakers Beverly E. Smith, the Chair of D4 Women in Action, and Chris V. Rey, the President of Barber Scotia College, historic HBCU founded in 1867 in Concord, North Carolina. I would love for you to join us!
I’m so thankful to have people who are pumped up about making a real change here this coming November. I know I’ve said this before but we have so much on the line this November and we have a real chance to say “Enough!” and send Paul Newton back home!
I hope you’re able to join us on October 24th at 7PM EST via Zoom! If you’d like to join us, please RSVP here or by the button above!
If you’re not able to join us, that’s okay! We still have ways to get involved by joining us for a phonebank, contributing to the campaign or even joining us for my Boots & Ballots Birthday Bash on October 22nd.
Thank you for your continued support and I hope to see you soon!
Best,
Kim Sexton-Lewter, Ph.D.
Candidate for NC Senate District 34
